The recently renovated Svømmehall in Stavanger (Norway) is another appropriate example in our #LaTouretteType week: Built into a slope, the building is reminiscent of the LC’s monastery through a whole range of design elements. These include the three lower floors, each of which is structured at the window fronts by vertical, irregularly arranged beams, and the projecting section of the upper floors, which in turn are surrounded by grid-like concrete brise soleils.
